Will Steinmetz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Jenkner in the 36th minute of the match. Maik Jäger scored 3-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Will Steinmetz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erich Altesleben in the 47th minute of play forced Leißling FC's goalkeeper Will Steinmetz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

A collision led to Leißling FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Hartwig Kehr hit a great ball. With a little luck, Leißling FC's Will Steinmetz got control of the ball when Maik Jäger tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Will Steinmetz managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Budissa's Maik Jäger fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Will Steinmetz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enak Hannken in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Klaus Figge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th match minute, Leißling FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinhold Bontz to maneuver through the defense. Will Steinmetz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enak Hannken, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute.
