The crowd rose to their feet as SV Bremen Nord's Edgar Gädechens slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Will Steinmetz. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. In the 11th minute, Meinolf Appelt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Max Nierlein made a precise shot to the right of Will Steinmetz. Leißling FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 46th minute, Benni Kuttner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Will Steinmetz was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

Will Steinmetz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Nierlein in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Edgar Gädechens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Will Steinmetz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that SV Bremen Nord were the better team. SV Bremen Nord's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
