Dieter Fricker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Bremen Nord. In the 9th minute, Edgar Gädechens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dieter Fricker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benni Kuttner in the 11th minute of play. Benni Kuttner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Benni Kuttner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dieter Fricker was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Kamil Lange came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Franz Jäck could save by the left post. In the 23rd minute Marc Engbers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dieter Fricker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Edgar Gädechens notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Winsen's Dieter Fricker. Dieter Fricker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dieter Fricker came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by SV Bremen Nord's Edgar Gädechens. But to his dismay, Edgar Gädechens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Winsen's Dieter Fricker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Nierlein in the 38th minute of play. If Marc Engbers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, Max Nierlein was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SV Bremen Nord's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Winsen the free kick. After a rather tough play, SV Bremen Nord's Max Nierlein got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Max Nierlein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Dieter Fricker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Gädechens in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Engbers in the 56th minute of play forced Winsen's goalkeeper Dieter Fricker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Björn Eickhoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieter Fricker having to interfere. Max Nierlein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieter Fricker having to interfere. Dieter Fricker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Engbers in the 63rd minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Winsen's goalkeeper Dieter Fricker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Max Nierlein. If Nenad Brandstetter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benni Kuttner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Winsen's goal looked a bit too open when Benni Kuttner came free, but Dieter Fricker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benni Kuttner in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dieter Fricker, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg Dieter Fricker managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when SV Bremen Nord's Benni Kuttner fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Winsen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Edgar Gädechens scored to the left of an out of position Dieter Fricker, making the score, 0-5. Thanks to some nice moves Max Nierlein could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Dieter Fricker however easily saved by the left post. SV Bremen Nord's Edgar Gädechens was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 91st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. SV Bremen Nord's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
