Arno Schlesinger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Kuno Kindler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Arno Schlesinger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amir Müller, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 35 minutes of play, Gestewitz's Amir Müller made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arno Schlesinger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Willi Rädel charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willi Rädel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes Blockshagen got a freekick which was hit by Willi Rädel. Cord Bleichert kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 46thth minute of the game Ulfert Noffz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blockshagen's Arno Schlesinger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

In the 54th match minute, Blockshagen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willi Rädel to maneuver through the defense. Amir Müller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arno Schlesinger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. During the 73rd minute of the match Willi Rädel completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Willi Rädel a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Willi Rädel kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Gestewitz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulfert Noffz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gestewitz's Amir Müller got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manfred Köppchen hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Ulfert Noffz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arno Schlesinger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Gestewitz's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
