After a rather tough play, VS- Schweninngen's Bernd Paepke got a free kick in the 24th minute. Hermann Schrappe hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 27 minutes of play, FC Yürrübe's Tyron Lux made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Engelbert Schrörs was left in no man's land by his defense there! The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karel Sigrist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of VS- Schweninngen booed when FC Yürrübe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dolf Stober didn't get a good kick on the ball. VS- Schweninngen:s Engelbert Schrörs showed great skill when he stopped Utz Berntsen:s penalty. Leo Schnurrer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horst Haltt's late challenge caught a VS- Schweninngen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horst Haltt helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Yürrübe's Horst Haltt got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 77 minutes of play, VS- Schweninngen's Werner Schmidberger made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jürgen Melchert was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Tyron Lux got free with Engelbert Schrörs in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute Karel Sigrist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Engelbert Schrörs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Schnurrer came free in the 85th minute and tried to tip the ball over Jürgen Melchert, but to the joy of FC Yürrübe's supporters the ball went over. If Ersan Gaßner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Yürrübe's zone, Bernd Paepke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jürgen Melchert came out of the goal and Bernd Paepke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernd Paepke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Engelbert Schrörs didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karel Sigrist went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The FC Yürrübe players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
