Mattes Sylvester's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lennart Tolkmitt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Jens-Uwe Beimes could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Lucio Bartel however easily saved by the left post. Larry Riepert took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lennart Tolkmitt. Lennart Tolkmitt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mattes Sylvester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Tolkmitt having to interfere. When Mattes Sylvester came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the TSV Waldbach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mattes Sylvester couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Larry Riepert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TSV Waldbach fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Mattes Sylvester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Larry Riepert put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Lennart Tolkmitt. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harry Griese during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th minute, Harry Griese hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Larry Riepert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lennart Tolkmitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Griese, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Larry Riepert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mattes Sylvester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Lennart Tolkmitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harry Griese hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match.
