Spectators: 7363 (Terracing: 5635, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) St.Pauli's Gunther Strobel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Reinhold Endraß fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Knud Ockmann having to interfere. Martin Baumung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunther Strobel in the 5th minute of the match. After 7 minutes of play, Eintracht Nordwest's Christian Piltz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Knud Ockmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 10thth minute of the game Reinhold Endraß who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but St.Pauli's Knud Ockmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Piltz in the 11th minute of play forced St.Pauli's goalkeeper Knud Ockmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 minutes, Uwe Klomfaß mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the St.Pauli and the Eintracht Nordwest players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to St.Pauli getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Uwe Klomfaß hit a great ball. Reinhold Endraß struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Knud Ockmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eintracht Nordwest. After 26 played minutes Eintracht Nordwest got a freekick which was hit by Max Schwanenflugel. Eintracht Nordwest's Martin Baumung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunther Strobel in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Eintracht Nordwest's Silas Düsterhaus got a free kick in the 31st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henk Zischer got free with Martin Baumung in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Gunther Strobel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Baumung was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After 37 played minutes Eintracht Nordwest got a freekick which was hit by Silas Düsterhaus. Silas Düsterhaus hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. From close distance Henk Zischer pressed in the 1-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 43 minutes into the game. Ben Grabert hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Reinhold Endraß made the kick off in the second half. When Ben Grabert fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored St.Pauli's protests and gave Ben Grabert a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes St.Pauli got a freekick which was hit by Ben Grabert. 57 minutes into the match, Eintracht Nordwest's goal looked a bit too open when Henk Zischer came free, but Martin Baumung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinhold Endraß sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Henk Zischer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Baumung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Eintracht Nordwest's goal looked a bit too open when Henk Zischer came free, but Martin Baumung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinhold Endraß's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Knud Ockmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Eintracht Nordwest's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Grabert came free, but Martin Baumung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Reinhold Endraß came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Eintracht Nordwest fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinhold Endraß couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Eintracht Nordwest booed when St.Pauli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Grabert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Eintracht Nordwest's Moritz Schwanenflugel tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Henk Zischer managed to get in a good position for a shot. St.Pauli's supporters rose to their feet, but Henk Zischer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Baumung breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
