Karlo Michael hit a great ball. In the 8th minute, Tomas Widmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Karlo Michael came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Polska Poland Polen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karlo Michael couldn't finish the play. Oliver Greif stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karlo Michael's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. If Tomas Widmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Oberhausen! Ulrich Pfister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the game, Per Stiig Barges cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bastian Weinfort was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Polska Poland Polen's zone, Per Stiig Barges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bastian Weinfort came out of the goal and Per Stiig Barges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bastian Weinfort took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrich Pfister, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per Stiig Barges in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bastian Weinfort saved Polska Poland Polen from getting behind. When Oberhausen's Ulrich Pfister in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Polska Poland Polen's goalie prevented a goal. Karlo Michael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Polska Poland Polen's Bastian Weinfort played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Stiig Barges in the 44th minute of play. Per Stiig Barges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 47 in the game by Tomas Widmann from a close distance when the talented Oliver Greif managed to make a qualified save. Oberhausen's players were relieved. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Per Stiig Barges to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Widmann in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliver Greif saved Oberhausen from getting behind. Bastian Weinfort stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Per Stiig Barges's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. If Per Stiig Barges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Polska Poland Polen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! Steen Ehrreich walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 68th match minute, Polska Poland Polen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Rupp to maneuver through the defense. Ulrich Pfister could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Bastian Weinfort made a huge save. After 71 minutes, Johannes Knoll mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oberhausen and the Polska Poland Polen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94thth minute of the game Per Stiig Barges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Polska Poland Polen's Bastian Weinfort was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Oberhausen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Oberhausen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
