Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Willi Rothensteiner kicked off to start the match. Adrian Hummel lost his temper 3 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 3 minutes into the game, one of Hamburger Sportverein:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 13th minute, Ludwig Peters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norbert Abraham was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Dankward Amstutzs short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Johann Liebich to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to barsa01 getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Joachim Mahne hit a great ball. Dankward Amstutz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Johann Liebich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Joachim Mahne notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hamburger Sportverein's Mario Nowack. Mario Nowack was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sierk Schweers in the 36th minute of play forced barsa01's goalkeeper Johann Liebich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamburger Sportverein's Dankward Amstutz got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dankward Amstutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sierk Schweers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half barsa01 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joachim Mahne to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Dankward Amstutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johann Liebich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamburger Sportverein's Bonifatius Mehrwald got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Johann Liebich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dankward Amstutz in the 66th minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Hamburger Sportverein was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sierk Schweers to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th match minute, barsa01 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerd Eduard Tennenbaum to maneuver through the defense. Dankward Amstutz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dankward Amstutz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Johann Liebich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute Bonifatius Mehrwald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johann Liebich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dankward Amstutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Eitel von Fallersleben fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mario Nowack, passed just outside the right post. Johann Liebich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dankward Amstutz in the 93rd minute of the match. Bonifatius Mehrwald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, barsa01's goal looked a bit too open when Dankward Amstutz came free, but Johann Liebich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hendrik Klingler kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Chants of barsa01 echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Hamburger Sportverein had held the ball for most of the match.
