An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Lewandowski in the 8th minute of play forced Polska Poland Polen's goalkeeper Bastian Weinfort to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Damon Hoppenstedt fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polska Poland Polen's protests and gave Damon Hoppenstedt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Polska Poland Polen getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Bastian Weinfort showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Lewandowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17thth minute of the game Leif Imkamp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Polska Poland Polen's Bastian Weinfort was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bastian Weinfort took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Teufel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Manuel Teufel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastian Weinfort saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bastian Weinfort showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Lewandowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Uwe Schöneberg kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 54th minute, when Claus FC's Oliver Freese after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Bastian Weinfort in Polska Poland Polen's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. 56 minutes into the game, Polska Poland Polen's Tomas Widmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harold Winkelmeier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Lewis Trautermann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bastian Weinfort having to make a save. In the 80th match minute, Polska Poland Polen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heinrich Höfken to maneuver through the defense.
