He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. 1.Fc Lynar's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After some careless play in the 1.Fc Lynar defense, Gunther Strobel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Kaufmann. The 1.Fc Lynar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Kaufmann should have stopped the shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gunther Strobel made a kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Henk Zischer managed to get in a good position for a shot. St.Pauli's supporters rose to their feet, but Henk Zischer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Kaufmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gunther Strobel in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrian Kaufmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Henk Zischer came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the St.Pauli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henk Zischer couldn't finish the play. St.Pauli's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
