Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Borussia Dortmund's Ricky Dörnbrack started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match Dierk Prockl climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Sergio Wenauer. Dierk Prockl charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dierk Prockl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th minute, Dierk Prockl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute of the match Günther Wager sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Heiko Robinsohn skillfully saved the ball. Jurek Drichel's late challenge caught a Borussia Dortmund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jurek Drichel helped the player get up and apologised. Jurek Drichel hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oskar Behning in the 11th minute of play forced Leysiefen's goalkeeper Heiko Robinsohn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Hans Höhn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Wenauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stephane Portwein during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Leysiefen booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stephane Portwein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sergio Wenauer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Höhn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hans Höhn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Sergio Wenauer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arne Glieder hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. If Hans Höhn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Höhn in the 46th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Sergio Wenauer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heiko Mühlichen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hans Höhn to strike the kick off in the second half. Harry Nemitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Wenauer having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Hans Höhn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sergio Wenauer. Borussia Dortmund's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hans Höhn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When Ricky Dörnbrack came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Borussia Dortmund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricky Dörnbrack couldn't finish the play. Hans Höhn took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Wenauer. Sergio Wenauer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dierk Prockl in the 74th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Sergio Wenauer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Leysiefen's Hans Höhn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergio Wenauer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Sergio Wenauer came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Leysiefen's Hans Höhn. But to his dismay, Hans Höhn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund booed when Leysiefen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurek Drichel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Borussia Dortmund's Fidel Mars tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Leysiefen's Heiko Robinsohn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky Dörnbrack in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the Borussia Dortmund defense, Anton Steigelmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sergio Wenauer. The Borussia Dortmund fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sergio Wenauer should have stopped the shot. If Dierk Prockl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Dierk Prockl came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Leysiefen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dierk Prockl couldn't finish the play. If Hans Höhn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leysiefen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
