Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Richard Minkel made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the game, Torben Rivoir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Opperz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Watzensteini-Bornberg the free kick. Torben Rivoir kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 8th minute of the match Holger Hecker shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregor Thorbrügge showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Silvio Krumbein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvio Krumbein's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Lars Neubert skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Elmer Zepek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Opperz's supporters rose to their feet, but Elmer Zepek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars Neubert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Watzensteini-Bornberg getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Tsuneo Schrader hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Watzensteini-Bornberg fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! Watzensteini-Bornberg's Lars Neubert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Watzensteini-Bornberg from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elmer Zepek in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lars Neubert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Silvio Krumbein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Lars Neubert made a huge save.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elmer Zepek made a kick off. Watzensteini-Bornberg's Lars Neubert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Krumbein in the 52nd minute of play. Lars Neubert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elmer Zepek in the 54th minute of play. If Richard Minkel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Silvio Krumbein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 62nd match minute, Watzensteini-Bornberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amerigo Gölz to maneuver through the defense. Lars Neubert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Krumbein in the 66th minute of play. After 70 minutes of play, Opperz's Elmer Zepek made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lars Neubert was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 78th match minute, Opperz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Nieberg to maneuver through the defense. After 80 played minutes Watzensteini-Bornberg got a freekick which was hit by Attila Czerwinski. 81 minutes into the match, Watzensteini-Bornberg's goal looked a bit too open when Silvio Krumbein came free, but Lars Neubert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elmer Zepek in the 84th minute of play forced Watzensteini-Bornberg's goalkeeper Lars Neubert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Neubert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elmer Zepek in the 86th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elmer Zepek in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lars Neubert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 91 minutes into the match, Watzensteini-Bornberg's Amerigo Gölz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Opperz fans cheered their team off the field, for while Watzensteini-Bornberg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
