AĞRI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Opperz the free kick. Simon Goldblum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elmer Zepek in the 7th minute of the match. Simon Goldblum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmer Zepek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 16 minutes, Ole Brummer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AĞRI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ole Brummer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvio Krumbein took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simon Goldblum. Simon Goldblum dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Simon Goldblum came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Opperz's Elmer Zepek. But to his dismay, Elmer Zepek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Simon Goldblum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmer Zepek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elmer Zepek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Simon Goldblum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Goldblum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvio Krumbein, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. AĞRI's Simon Goldblum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmer Zepek in the 44th minute of play. Krister Janecek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Opperz were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elmer Zepek to make the kick off. If Silvio Krumbein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Silvio Krumbein managed to get in a good position for a shot. Opperz's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvio Krumbein was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Goldblum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the game, Jannes Vester was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 78 played minutes, AĞRI's Joscha Berrai shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gregor Thorbrügge came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AĞRI reached it. Jonas Brocker took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gregor Thorbrügge. Opperz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Silvio Krumbein managed to get in a good position for a shot. Opperz's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvio Krumbein was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Goldblum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florian Gundelach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregor Thorbrügge having to interfere.
