Rex Breitenstein hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Montgomery Münn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Markus Knebel. Ahelle's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Markus Knebel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heinz Lamp in the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Heinz Lamp notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ahelle's Markus Knebel. Markus Knebel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th match minute, Ahelle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Finn Canel to maneuver through the defense. Montgomery Münn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Markus Knebel. Bernard Fink made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hartwin Blieske in the 20th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Thorsten Greif was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ahelle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VfL Kemminghausen the free kick. A collision led to Ahelle getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. After 29 played minutes Ahelle got a freekick which was hit by Hartwin Blieske. Markus Knebel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristian Kruse in the 30th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Ahelle's Rex Breitenstein seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rex Breitenstein the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ahelle protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rex Breitenstein had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ahelle! The referee gave VfL Kemminghausen a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Montgomery Münn, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ahelle's Markus Knebel. 0-3. In the 45th minute, Hartwin Blieske got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Markus Knebel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Heinz Lamp's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. After the first half VfL Kemminghausen were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Heinz Lamp made the kick off in the second half. David Santelmann kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Hartwin Blieske notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of VfL Kemminghausen's Bernard Fink. Bernard Fink was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Markus Knebel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wolfram Reska in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of VfL Kemminghausen booed when Ahelle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Finn Canel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kristian Kruse got free with Markus Knebel in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simon Brütting charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simon Brütting the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, Simon Brütting hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Jakob Zecher left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ahelle fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. If Hartwin Blieske had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahelle's Markus Knebel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heinz Lamp in the 79th minute of play. Finn Canel kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 86th minute of the match, Wolfram Reska got a very nice opportunity to score, but Markus Knebel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Ahelle booed when VfL Kemminghausen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Brütting didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristian Kruse hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Ahelle lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
