Norman Ascher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Norman Ascher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Eckhardt in the 16th minute of the match. Béla Mutzel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Ascher having to interfere. Norman Ascher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Béla Mutzel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in OFK 1978 Brcko fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 26 minutes, VFB BAD LAUCHSTÄDT's Carlo Wellmann got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Richart Rudinsky. Norman Ascher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Béla Mutzel's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After 34 played minutes VFB BAD LAUCHSTÄDT got a freekick which was hit by Ingo Natusch. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Béla Mutzel managed to get in a good position for a shot. OFK 1978 Brcko's supporters rose to their feet, but Béla Mutzel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norman Ascher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute, Gerd Klee ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Norman Ascher was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Béla Mutzel in the 45th minute of play forced VFB BAD LAUCHSTÄDT's goalkeeper Norman Ascher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 52 minutes, Ingo Natusch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VFB BAD LAUCHSTÄDT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingo Natusch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan Humpe charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Humpe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Béla Mutzel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norman Ascher was a little too slow when Jan Humpe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Eckhardt got free with Norman Ascher in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Norman Ascher came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by OFK 1978 Brcko's Béla Mutzel. But to his dismay, Béla Mutzel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerd Klee in the 82nd minute of play forced VFB BAD LAUCHSTÄDT's goalkeeper Norman Ascher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Béla Mutzel took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Norman Ascher to make any attempt to save it. Norman Ascher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Béla Mutzel in the 90th minute of the match. A hard shot 95 in the game by Béla Mutzel from a close distance when the talented Norman Ascher managed to make a qualified save. VFB BAD LAUCHSTÄDT's players were relieved. OFK 1978 Brcko played a much better game than VFB BAD LAUCHSTÄDT and deserved their victory. The VFB BAD LAUCHSTÄDT players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
