Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Elmar Rauh took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 14th minute of the match, Boris Theiss got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gus Skrotzki was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boris Theiss couldn't finish the play. Gus Skrotzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walther Schönberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Boris Theiss left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Walther Schönberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gus Skrotzki having to interfere. Melbeck's Gus Skrotzki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Melbeck from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Melbeck's Philipp Meyers got a free kick in the 45th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Boris Theiss managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seghorn FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boris Theiss was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boris Theiss struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Gus Skrotzki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seghorn FSV. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boris Theiss to make the kick off. Boris Theiss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Gus Skrotzki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Theiss in the 56th minute of play forced Melbeck's goalkeeper Gus Skrotzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Seghorn FSV fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Seghorn FSV's Boris Theiss looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gus Skrotzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Theiss in the 68th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Benjamin Otto in the 69th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Seghorn FSV's Dierk Klemt. After a rather tough play, Seghorn FSV's Curt Bormann got a free kick in the 70th minute. Gus Skrotzki came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Seghorn FSV's Cosmo Nelius. But to his dismay, Cosmo Nelius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Melbeck's goalkeeper Gus Skrotzki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Boris Theiss made a precise shot to the right of Gus Skrotzki. Melbeck's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. In the 87thth minute of the game Walther Schönberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Melbeck's Gus Skrotzki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gus Skrotzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Theiss in the 88th minute of play. After some careless play in the Melbeck defense, Boris Theiss kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gus Skrotzki. The Melbeck fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gus Skrotzki should have stopped the shot.
