The supporters of Dittlofrod booed when Melbeck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Heiske didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hartmut Lau in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gus Skrotzki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Klaus Dittrich during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hartmut Lau couldn't finish the play. Onno Vicktor hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Dittlofrod's Hartmut Lau, in the 79th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Dittlofrod. After 83 minutes, Erwin Sander made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Melbeck's Gus Skrotzki tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
