Spectators: 7418 (Terracing: 5639, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 50) FC Midori's Sascha Berz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Wilfried Steininger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilja Kalitta was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. FC Midori's Ilja Kalitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herwig Ehrreich in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute of the match Bo Dubinski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilja Kalitta skillfully saved the ball. Herwig Ehrreich blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilja Kalitta having to make a save. In the 15th match minute, FC Lahnstein was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf Oppitz to maneuver through the defense. When Helmut Döring came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the FC Midori fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Helmut Döring couldn't finish the play. During the 18th minute of the match Rolf Oppitz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rolf Oppitz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Rolf Oppitz kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Midori's goalkeeper Ilja Kalitta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of FC Midori booed when FC Lahnstein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Johann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27thth minute of the game Sascha Berz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Lahnstein's Mehmet Becker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Sascha Berz managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Midori's supporters rose to their feet, but Sascha Berz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Becker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mehmet Becker made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Sascha Berz sent off a good shot on target. Ilja Kalitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Johann in the 39th minute of the match. Herwig Ehrreich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Sascha Berz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Mehmet Becker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

In the 54th minute, Sascha Berz made a precise shot to the right of Mehmet Becker. FC Lahnstein's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in FC Lahnstein's zone, Sascha Berz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehmet Becker came out of the goal and Sascha Berz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herwig Ehrreich came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ilja Kalitta could save by the left post. Clint Blattner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Mehmet Becker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Nico Abel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes FC Midori got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Kroos. In the 79th minute, Hugo Johann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When FC Midori's Sascha Berz in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Lahnstein's goalie prevented a goal. After 83 minutes of play, FC Midori's Sascha Berz made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mehmet Becker was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of FC Lahnstein booed when FC Midori was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunther Merod didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Lahnstein's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bo Dubinski in the 94th minute. The corner led FC Lahnstein's Bo Dubinski to fire away a dangerous shot which Ilja Kalitta despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 97 minutes into the match, FC Midori's goalkeeper Ilja Kalitta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herwig Ehrreich.
