The supporters of FC Lahnstein booed when Dynamo Lichtenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaspar Kurbjuweit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfried Steininger, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When Gero Olowka came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Dynamo Lichtenberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gero Olowka couldn't finish the play. Dynamo Lichtenberg's Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfried Steininger in the 22nd minute of play. Mehmet Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gero Olowka in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfried Steininger in the 27th minute of play forced Dynamo Lichtenberg's goalkeeper Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Herwig Ehrreich managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lahnstein's supporters rose to their feet, but Herwig Ehrreich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anselm Horsmann kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herwig Ehrreich in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 64 played minutes Dynamo Lichtenberg got a freekick which was hit by Kaspar Kurbjuweit. In the 65th minute of the match Bo Dubinski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly skillfully saved the ball. Herwig Ehrreich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Antti Geppert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Wilfried Steininger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Herwig Ehrreich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gero Olowka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Becker having to interfere. A collision led to Dynamo Lichtenberg getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Arian Ochs hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dynamo Lichtenberg's zone, Herwig Ehrreich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly came out of the goal and Herwig Ehrreich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mehmet Becker was a little too slow when Gero Olowka got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dynamo Lichtenberg players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Lahnstein.
