Gerrit Cürten hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Sascha Berz managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Midori's supporters rose to their feet, but Sascha Berz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horst Dickhut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ilja Kalitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reineke Petig, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. FC Bayern's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pinkas Bodenschmidt in the 12th minute. Reineke Petig charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reineke Petig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Bayern's Reineke Petig got a free kick in the 16th minute. Sascha Berz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Midori's Ilja Kalitta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save FC Midori from getting a goal against them. A collision led to FC Midori getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Helmut Döring hit a great ball. In the 28th match minute, FC Midori was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sascha Berz to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerrit Cürten got free with Ilja Kalitta in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Midori's Ilja Kalitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ottmar Scharfscheer in the 31st minute of play. Sascha Berz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Horst Dickhut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Ludger Gillardon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, FC Midori's Ilja Kalitta got control of the ball when Gerrit Cürten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ilja Kalitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ottmar Scharfscheer in the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Midori's goalkeeper Ilja Kalitta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ottmar Scharfscheer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilja Kalitta having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Gerrit Cürten managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Bayern's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerrit Cürten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilja Kalitta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ottmar Scharfscheer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, FC Bayern's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nico Abel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 62 minutes into the game, Saul Krumpen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bayern's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Midori the free kick. Horst Dickhut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sascha Berz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sascha Berz in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Horst Dickhut, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ilja Kalitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerrit Cürten in the 75th minute of the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Sascha Berz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Midori's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sascha Berz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sascha Berz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horst Dickhut read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After 85 minutes, Adrian Bermel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Midori and the FC Bayern players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th match minute, FC Midori was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Bermel to maneuver through the defense. Ilja Kalitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ottmar Scharfscheer in the 87th minute of play. Pinkas Bodenschmidt missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 94 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ilja Kalitta right hand side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
