Jacob Spanl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kai Behlau having to interfere. The Grüsen fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Grüsen's Arne Breuninger looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. DJK Rhede had played much better football throughout.
