The supporters of Ostdeutschland booed when Grüsen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efraim Breitkopf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franz Maiwald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurence Böhland having to interfere. Michael Rösch succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 40th playminute. Kai Behlau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kornelius König, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Laurence Böhland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hasso Berrisch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Rösch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kai Behlau having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Michael Rösch put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kai Behlau. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yannik Saager couldn't finish the play. Kornelius König fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kai Behlau having to interfere. Kai Behlau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Rösch, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Kornelius König received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Kai Behlau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ostdeutschland walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
