Fc Bayern München's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Fernkorn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Robert Fernkorn made the kick off in the second half. If Robert Fernkorn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohamed Kärgel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gernot Koellner showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 53 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Bayern München's zone, Gunter Gerster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ansgar Bell came out of the goal and Gunter Gerster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mohamed Kärgel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernot Koellner in the 75th minute of play. Mohamed Kärgel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Fernkorn in the 79th minute. Höxter's Mohamed Kärgel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Höxter from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute, Gernot Koellner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd match minute, Fc Bayern München was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernot Koellner to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the game, Nico Pathe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc Bayern München's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Höxter the free kick. The supporters of Höxter booed when Fc Bayern München was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Pathe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohamed Kärgel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Helko Nikisch in the 92nd minute. Robert Fernkorn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fc Bayern München played a much better game than Höxter and deserved their victory. The Höxter players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
