Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tim Strauss got the match started through his kick off. Jorck Moll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Strauss in the 4th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Hannover 96's goalkeeper Jorck Moll had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Max Schreiber. Tim Strauss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jorck Moll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Tim Strauss dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jorck Moll, 1-0. After 20 minutes, Arko Hamann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Qualburg FSV and the Hannover 96 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lars Bix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konstantin Nadolski, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 28 played minutes Qualburg FSV got a freekick which was hit by Gernot Patzelt. Konstantin Nadolski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lars Bix. Qualburg FSV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tim Strauss in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorck Moll prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Petro Karstens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Achim Kösling hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Tim Strauss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute, Max Schreiber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Gernot Patzelt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorck Moll was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. 47 minutes into the match, Hannover 96's goal looked a bit too open when Gernot Patzelt came free, but Jorck Moll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Petro Karstens was the one to do the kick off. Lars Bix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konstantin Nadolski in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Qualburg FSV's goalkeeper Lars Bix, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Qualburg FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Petro Karstens came free, but Lars Bix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Anders Kriwat fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Qualburg FSV's protests and gave Anders Kriwat a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th match minute, Qualburg FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anders Kriwat to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the game, Petro Karstens recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lars Bix. Petro Karstens showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Gernot Patzelt kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Petro Karstens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lars Bix was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Arko Hamann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jorck Moll. Hannover 96's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kurt Reffelmann during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Qualburg FSV booed when Hannover 96 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Reffelmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hannover 96's zone, Tim Strauss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorck Moll came out of the goal and Tim Strauss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Qualburg FSV's goalkeeper Lars Bix had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartholomäus Pohlmann. Bartholomäus Pohlmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Max Schreiber struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Jorck Moll didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Qualburg FSV. Beat Maus's late challenge caught a Qualburg FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beat Maus helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Qualburg FSV booed when Hannover 96 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beat Maus didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tim Strauss fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Qualburg FSV's protests and gave Tim Strauss a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Qualburg FSV getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Tim Strauss hit a great ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
