Spectators: 7498 (Terracing: 5624, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lucas Hardel kicked off to start the match. Friedbert Greilich kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. When Lucas Hardel fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kleingern's protests and gave Lucas Hardel a yellow card for diving instead. Lucas Hardel hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Konstantin Nadolski, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Issey Assing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Kleingern's Berthold Banzmeier got a free kick in the 12th minute. Bartholomäus Pohlmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Stefan Skoczylas made a huge save. Petro Karstens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kleingern's Stefan Skoczylas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petro Karstens in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Kleingern's goal looked a bit too open when Petro Karstens came free, but Stefan Skoczylas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Hannover 96's zone, Lucas Hardel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorck Moll came out of the goal and Lucas Hardel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorck Moll didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Issey Assing went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Jorck Moll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Hardel in the 37th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Lucas Hardel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kleingern's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Hardel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorck Moll breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th match minute, Kleingern was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakov Rosenbauer to maneuver through the defense. Bartholomäus Pohlmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Stefan Skoczylas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Hannover 96 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kleingern were winning 0-1.

Jorck Moll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Hardel in the 52nd minute of play. Issey Assing succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 54th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Hardel in the 58th minute of play forced Hannover 96's goalkeeper Jorck Moll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorck Moll made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Issey Assing sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the match, Kleingern's Issey Assing sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorck Moll narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Issey Assing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorck Moll having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Hardel in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorck Moll saved Hannover 96 from getting behind. Issey Assing struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Jorck Moll didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kleingern. The audience thought a goal was coming when Issey Assing got free with Jorck Moll in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Lucas Hardel took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Jorck Moll to make any attempt to save it. In the 71st match minute, Hannover 96 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Rackstein to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute of the match Berthold Banzmeier shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorck Moll showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Damien Layher hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Eberhard Baus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorck Moll having to interfere. Hannover 96's Jorck Moll proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Hannover 96 from getting a goal against them. After having played for 83 minutes, Lucas Hardel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kleingern's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Hardel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Hannover 96 defense, Issey Assing kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorck Moll. The Hannover 96 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorck Moll should have stopped the shot. Stefan Skoczylas came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Hannover 96's Petro Karstens. But to his dismay, Petro Karstens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Hardel in the 95th minute of play forced Hannover 96's goalkeeper Jorck Moll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
