The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adnan Veighand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 3 minutes, Hermann Wahlen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corigliano and the Ağrı players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ağrı booed when Corigliano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermann Wahlen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurt Yildirim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Konrad Holzfuß showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olav Falke in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olav Falke in the 11th minute of play forced Ağrı's goalkeeper Konrad Holzfuß to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ağrı's zone, Kurt Yildirim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konrad Holzfuß came out of the goal and Kurt Yildirim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kurt Yildirim came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Konrad Holzfuß could save by the left post. If Kurt Yildirim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oskar Flick's late challenge caught a Corigliano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oskar Flick helped the player get up and apologised. Kurt Yildirim's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Konrad Holzfuß skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 22 minutes into the match, Olav Falke dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Konrad Holzfuß, 1-0. Rufus Stecher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lothar Zinnbauer in the 26th minute of the match. Innozenz Schneider hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adnan Veighand in the 32nd minute of play forced Corigliano's goalkeeper Rufus Stecher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olav Falke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kurt Yildirim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Konrad Holzfuß tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lothar Zinnbauer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rufus Stecher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lothar Zinnbauer, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When Florian Rahaus fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ağrı's protests and gave Florian Rahaus a yellow card for diving instead. Konrad Holzfuß made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Yildirim in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Corigliano's Hermann Wahlen got a free kick in the 76th minute. Florian Rahaus was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ağrı's Konrad Holzfuß played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Yildirim in the 87th minute of play. After 87 minutes of play, Corigliano's Kurt Yildirim made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Konrad Holzfuß was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adnan Veighand struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Rufus Stecher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ağrı. Ağrı's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
