After a defensive mix-up in Pohlheim's zone, Rouven Krohm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Bockhahn came out of the goal and Rouven Krohm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Till Gaiser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fatih Heinicke, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Tommy Bockhahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thomas Spanier went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Omar Stachowsky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Werder freestyle's goalkeeper Till Gaiser, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Stachowsky got free with Tommy Bockhahn in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st match minute, Pohlheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbie Holldorf to maneuver through the defense. Omar Stachowsky's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tommy Bockhahn firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 47 played minutes Pohlheim got a freekick which was hit by Jupp Knoop. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrien Kritzer to make the kick off. After 61 played minutes Pohlheim got a freekick which was hit by Herbie Holldorf. 62 minutes into the game, Rouven Krohm cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Tommy Bockhahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th minute of the match Dieter Beck shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Bockhahn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Omar Stachowsky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omar Stachowsky fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Bockhahn having to interfere. Kolja Schmitz charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kolja Schmitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kolja Schmitz kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Kolja Schmitz hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Omar Stachowsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Tommy Bockhahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Bockhahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rouven Krohm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Bockhahn came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Werder freestyle's Omar Stachowsky. But to his dismay, Omar Stachowsky quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Werder freestyle's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
