Spectators: 7160 (Terracing: 5660, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hernando Burger started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Claas Ruess mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Rennertshofen and the Pohlheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. 7 minutes into the game, Hernando Burger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tommy Bockhahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of FC Rennertshofen booed when Pohlheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jupp Knoop didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Hernando Burger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Bockhahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Bockhahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernando Burger in the 24th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Hernando Burger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Bockhahn. Pohlheim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernando Burger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 30th minute, Hernando Burger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Rennertshofen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Frank Joachimsmeier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Tommy Bockhahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Bockhahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernando Burger in the 41st minute of play. The Pohlheim players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Rennertshofen were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrien Kritzer to make the kick off. Jupp Knoop kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Frank Joachimsmeier kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 53 played minutes Pohlheim got a freekick which was hit by Friedrich Kader. Frank Joachimsmeier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tommy Bockhahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrien Kritzer charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrien Kritzer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adrien Kritzer kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Tommy Bockhahn made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Frank Joachimsmeier sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Pohlheim's Herbie Holldorf got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Frank Joachimsmeier succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 68th playminute. Tommy Bockhahn came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by FC Rennertshofen's Frank Joachimsmeier. But to his dismay, Frank Joachimsmeier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. After 78 minutes Pohlheim's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ismail Lösekrug who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Hernando Burger heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 82nd play minutes Hernando Burger shot 1-6, a short shot which went by Tommy Bockhahn and just under the crossbar into goal. Frank Joachimsmeier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Bockhahn having to interfere. Tommy Bockhahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernando Burger in the 88th minute of play. Frank Joachimsmeier struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Tommy Bockhahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Rennertshofen. FC Rennertshofen's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
