Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Friedrich Behnisch in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lance Kruse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the game, Friedrich Behnisch recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lance Kruse. Friedrich Behnisch showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Holzgerlingen FSV's Helmar Freemann got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 17th minute Lars Binninger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilhelm Schumbrutzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lance Kruse made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Friedrich Behnisch sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes into the match, Helmar Freemann notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Legio Loewenburg's Wilhelm Schumbrutzki. Wilhelm Schumbrutzki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the game, Helmar Freemann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Wilhelm Schumbrutzki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wilhelm Schumbrutzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Binninger, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Wilhelm Schumbrutzki came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Holzgerlingen FSV's Lars Binninger. But to his dismay, Lars Binninger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Wilhelm Schumbrutzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Binninger in the 37th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Friedrich Behnisch fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lance Kruse, passed just outside the right post. Lance Kruse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legio Loewenburg. Frederik Kremer might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lance Kruse. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frederik Kremer ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Friedrich Behnisch in the 58th minute of play forced Holzgerlingen FSV's goalkeeper Lance Kruse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 minutes, Sigurd Berthelé mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holzgerlingen FSV and the Legio Loewenburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ephraim Somnitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Lance Kruse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilhelm Schumbrutzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Batho Söldner in the 96th minute of the match. The Holzgerlingen FSV supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Holzgerlingen FSV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
