Henning Brocken really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. A collision led to Hochacht getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Reinhard Neuhäuser hit a great ball. Katzwalchen's Dietrich Scholven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Langhals in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Sebastian Langhals shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dietrich Scholven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Langhals in the 35th minute of play forced Katzwalchen's goalkeeper Dietrich Scholven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Katzwalchen's goal looked a bit too open when Maiko Deriu came free, but Dietrich Scholven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 played minutes Katzwalchen got a freekick which was hit by Tim Dümpe. If Sebastian Langhals had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 50thth minute of the game Maiko Deriu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Katzwalchen's Dietrich Scholven was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henning Brocken was the one to do the kick off. Andreas Münks might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benny Kuppermann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andreas Münks ran back to his position shaking his head. Dietrich Scholven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maiko Deriu, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 65th match minute, Hochacht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinhard Neuhäuser to maneuver through the defense. Andreas Münks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Kuppermann having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Maiko Deriu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hochacht's supporters rose to their feet, but Maiko Deriu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dietrich Scholven breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the game, Henning Brocken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Benny Kuppermann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Katzwalchen's Dietrich Scholven got control of the ball when Sebastian Langhals tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Hochacht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinhard Neuhäuser to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Katzwalchen's Michael Wirths broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Hochacht's Sebastian Langhals got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maiko Deriu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 99th minute. Hochacht's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
