Sauingen's Jakob Dersewski got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oliver Elser didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thilo Kesper went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 15th match minute, Sauingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dion Romberg to maneuver through the defense. After 17 minutes, Deon Capezzuto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sauingen and the Süd Dunum players grew even worse after the yellow card. 17 minutes into the game, one of Sauingen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Andreas Hofer's late challenge caught a Sauingen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andreas Hofer helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Süd Dunum got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Hofer. In the 28th match minute, Sauingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dion Romberg to maneuver through the defense. Oliver Elser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Pappert in the 32nd minute of the match. Jakob Dersewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andreas Hofer kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Süd Dunum's Christoph Kasimir proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Süd Dunum from getting a goal against them. Oliver Elser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thilo Kesper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Thilo Kesper made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes, Sauingen's Sepp Konietzko shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Christoph Kasimir came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sauingen reached it. Tim Pappert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Elser having to interfere. A collision led to Sauingen getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Berthold Riek-Nagy hit a great ball. Tim Pappert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Oliver Elser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Süd Dunum's Thilo Kesper in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sauingen's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis Dickopf in the 88th minute of play forced Süd Dunum's goalkeeper Christoph Kasimir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Süd Dunum would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
