In the 13th minute of the match, Leonid Nievelstein tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dieter Schubert saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 17 minutes into the game, Dariusz Klingemann lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Dieter Schubert. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonid Nievelstein in the 21st minute of play forced TV Grundhof's goalkeeper Dieter Schubert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudi Boy in the 33rd minute of play forced Obererlbach FC's goalkeeper Robin Oldenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Leonid Nievelstein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd match minute, Obererlbach FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Ehmke to maneuver through the defense. Yannik Lechtenberg took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robin Oldenburg. Robin Oldenburg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.

The wind increased when Rudi Boy made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Yannik Lechtenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Oldenburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robin Oldenburg made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Yannik Lechtenberg sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Yannik Lechtenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. TV Grundhof's supporters rose to their feet, but Yannik Lechtenberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin Oldenburg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simon Duchow hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Stefan Spanehl from long distance, 69 minutes into the match, got Robin Oldenburg's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Yannik Lechtenberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Robin Oldenburg made a huge save. Dieter Schubert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonid Nievelstein in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Obererlbach FC booed when TV Grundhof was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arno Jenssen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, Claes Yentür hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dieter Schubert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dariusz Klingemann in the 80th minute of the match. Dariusz Klingemann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieter Schubert having to interfere. If Rudi Boy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Oldenburg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudi Boy, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. TV Grundhof walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
