In the 13th minute Max Borgloh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balthasar Gerdung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 minutes of play, Lübecker Löwen's Henning Evertz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Balthasar Gerdung was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute, Alois Themann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Max Borgloh took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Balthasar Gerdung. Balthasar Gerdung dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Lübecker Löwen:s David Rapp showed great skill when he stopped Domenico Motter:s penalty. Domenico Motter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Rapp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Balthasar Gerdung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Borgloh in the 40th minute of the match. Max Borgloh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Türkische Union Xanthi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lübecker Löwen were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Max Borgloh made a kick off. Türkische Union Xanthi's Balthasar Gerdung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jannick Schünemann in the 53rd minute of play. Jannick Schünemann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Türkische Union Xanthi's Balthasar Gerdung proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Türkische Union Xanthi from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Lübecker Löwen's Max Borgloh got a free kick in the 72nd minute. If Domenico Motter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Max Borgloh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lübecker Löwen's supporters rose to their feet, but Max Borgloh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Balthasar Gerdung breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81stth minute of the game Max Borgloh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Türkische Union Xanthi's Balthasar Gerdung was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 85th minute, Jupp Kraus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Rapp came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Türkische Union Xanthi's Quentin Wilkendorf. But to his dismay, Quentin Wilkendorf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.
