Rene Kowalski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 5 minutes into the match, Baierlach FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Hellmut Balterschütz came free, but Rene Kowalski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Kowalski was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Hellmut Balterschütz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hellmut Balterschütz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 10th minute, Eggert Bleiziffer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Baierlach FSV's Rene Kowalski got control of the ball when Claus Nomayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Baierlach FSV getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Thomas Deuss hit a great ball. Rene Kowalski came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Würzburger Kickers's Claus Nomayo. But to his dismay, Claus Nomayo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 25 minutes into the match, FC Würzburger Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Haiko Bernecker came free, but Lou Rockstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baierlach FSV's Rene Kowalski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hellmut Balterschütz in the 34th minute of play. Rene Kowalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hellmut Balterschütz in the 40th minute of play. Leschek Hechler charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leschek Hechler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Leschek Hechler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The supporters of FC Würzburger Kickers booed when Baierlach FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fortunato Schink didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Baierlach FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zvonimir Kohnen to maneuver through the defense. Rene Kowalski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hellmut Balterschütz in the 59th minute of the match. One of Baierlach FSV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Würzburger Kickers:s goal. The referee gave FC Würzburger Kickers a penalty, 74 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Claus Nomayo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Baierlach FSV's Rene Kowalski. 5-0. Hellmut Balterschütz succeeded in the game's 76th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. Hellmut Balterschütz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Kowalski having to interfere. Rene Kowalski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hellmut Balterschütz in the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hellmut Balterschütz in the 90th minute of play forced Baierlach FSV's goalkeeper Rene Kowalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Kowalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hellmut Balterschütz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Würzburger Kickers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Baierlach FSV had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
