Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dittmar Schramm made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute of the match, Gerhard Pliska got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lou Rockstein was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 4th minute, Johannes Harm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute Claus Nomayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico Brockmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Octavian Meyer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rhode's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Würzburger Kickers the free kick. Octavian Meyer hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. If Hellmut Balterschütz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Rhode's Gerhard Pliska in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Würzburger Kickers's goalie prevented a goal. In the 15th minute, Rhode's Octavian Meyer seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Octavian Meyer the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rhode protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Octavian Meyer had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Rhode:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Würzburger Kickers:s goal. 17 minutes into the match, Rhode's goal looked a bit too open when Hellmut Balterschütz came free, but Nico Brockmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Nikolaus Weiss was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rhode's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Würzburger Kickers the free kick. A collision led to Rhode getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Nikolaus Weiss hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hellmut Balterschütz in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nico Brockmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerhard Pliska fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lou Rockstein having to interfere. Dittmar Schramm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Lou Rockstein made a huge save. In the 32nd match minute, Rhode was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jes Bellmann to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, FC Würzburger Kickers's Hellmut Balterschütz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nico Brockmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marco Welp kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Gerhard Pliska fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lou Rockstein having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, FC Würzburger Kickers's goalkeeper Lou Rockstein had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerhard Pliska. Jes Bellmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Lou Rockstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, FC Würzburger Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Gerhard Pliska came free, but Lou Rockstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lou Rockstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerhard Pliska, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Claus Nomayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hellmut Balterschütz in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nico Brockmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lou Rockstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Welp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Gerhard Pliska shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lou Rockstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes, Rhode's Nikolaus Weiss shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lou Rockstein came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rhode reached it. Gerhard Pliska received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Lou Rockstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th match minute, FC Würzburger Kickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christof Wagener to maneuver through the defense. Lou Rockstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Welp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Claus Nomayo made a precise shot to the right of Nico Brockmann. Rhode's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Lou Rockstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerhard Pliska in the 86th minute of play. Gerhard Pliska sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Welp took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lou Rockstein. Lou Rockstein dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rhode fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Würzburger Kickers had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
