An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Ringo Obele got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Tomáš Bacho put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Siegfried Jaser. Magnus Marx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin Franke having to make a save. After some careless play in the Preußen Münster defense, Faudel Houllier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Siegfried Jaser. The Preußen Münster fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Siegfried Jaser should have stopped the shot. In the 31stth minute of the game Tomáš Bacho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Preußen Münster's Siegfried Jaser was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute Faudel Houllier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siegfried Jaser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the match Fortuna Dresden FC got a corner. Preußen Münster's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Balan Gonzáles ran over to the corner to take the kick. Klemens Kriebel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Franke having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Preußen Münster's Klemens Kriebel got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 43rd minute Ahmed Knop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Franke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 minutes, Tomáš Bacho made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Preußen Münster's Siegfried Jaser tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ahmed Knop was the one to do the kick off. Benjamin Franke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ringo Obele in the 54th minute of play. Max Brass hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Siegfried Jaser was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Balan Gonzáles. The supporters of Fortuna Dresden FC booed when Preußen Münster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klemens Kriebel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Siegfried Jaser didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomáš Bacho went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. In the 80th minute, Klemens Kriebel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hartwin Maringer hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Bäcker in the 84th minute of play forced Fortuna Dresden FC's goalkeeper Benjamin Franke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Siegfried Jaser made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomáš Bacho in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balan Gonzáles in the 92nd minute of play forced Preußen Münster's goalkeeper Siegfried Jaser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Faudel Houllier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 98th minute, Ahmed Knop ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Franke was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-6.
