Königsberger Klopse's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Balan Gonzáles scored to the left of an out of position Ken Ziege, making the score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomáš Bacho got free with Ken Ziege in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 29 minutes, Fritz Wahl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Königsberger Klopse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fritz Wahl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ken Ziege made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Tomáš Bacho sent off a good shot on target. Ken Ziege made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faudel Houllier in the 32nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Königsberger Klopse defense, Balan Gonzáles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ken Ziege. The Königsberger Klopse fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ken Ziege should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute Tomáš Bacho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ken Ziege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Königsberger Klopse's Ken Ziege proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Königsberger Klopse from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the game, Tomáš Bacho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ken Ziege was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fritz Wahl was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Joshua Krankenbroker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benjamin Franke. That made the score 3-1 in the 52 minute of play. 4-1 became the score in the 56th minute when Faudel Houllier elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Fortuna Dresden FC's Balan Gonzáles got a free kick in the 58th minute. Königsberger Klopse's Ken Ziege played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balan Gonzáles in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Faudel Houllier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ken Ziege was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. 66 minutes into the match, Tomáš Bacho notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Königsberger Klopse's Ken Ziege. Ken Ziege was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Tomáš Bacho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ken Ziege was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Fortuna Dresden FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
