The Kl Dratum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Hellmut Balterschütz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Kl Dratum defense, Claus Nomayo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raffael Stößlein. The Kl Dratum fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raffael Stößlein should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Silvano Hafner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lou Rockstein. FC Würzburger Kickers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvano Hafner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Raffael Stößlein made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Claus Nomayo sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Silvano Hafner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lou Rockstein. A collision led to Kl Dratum getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Fabian Aumann hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hellmut Balterschütz in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raffael Stößlein prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute, Silvano Hafner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st minute of the match, Claus Nomayo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Raffael Stößlein was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lou Rockstein made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Lou Rockstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arno Loewenheim in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, FC Würzburger Kickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eggert Bleiziffer to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Eggert Bleiziffer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 48 minutes, Thomas Stächele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kl Dratum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Stächele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hellmut Balterschütz to strike the kick off in the second half. FC Würzburger Kickers's Lou Rockstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Stächele in the 53rd minute of play. Hellmut Balterschütz scored 3-4 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raffael Stößlein, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hellmut Balterschütz took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raffael Stößlein. Raffael Stößlein dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. FC Würzburger Kickers's Lou Rockstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Stächele in the 60th minute of play. Lou Rockstein made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Arno Loewenheim sent off a good shot on target. 63 minutes into the match, FC Würzburger Kickers's goalkeeper Lou Rockstein had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arno Loewenheim. The crowd rose to their feet as Kl Dratum's Thomas Stächele slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lou Rockstein. That made the score 4-5 after 66 minutes of play. Lou Rockstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Stächele in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute Fabian Aumann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lou Rockstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lou Rockstein was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hagen Doual showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-6 in the 75 minute of play. Silvano Hafner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lou Rockstein read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute Thomas Stächele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lou Rockstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raffael Stößlein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claus Nomayo in the 92nd minute of the match. Lou Rockstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Stächele, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. FC Würzburger Kickers's Lou Rockstein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save FC Würzburger Kickers from getting a goal against them. Kl Dratum played a much better game than FC Würzburger Kickers and deserved their victory. The FC Würzburger Kickers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
