Jochen Adler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ringo Obele in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Ringo Obele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jochen Adler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jack Schwabenthan kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Preußen Münster's Max Brass suffered a sore foot after 13 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 13th minute of the match Jack Schwabenthan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jack Schwabenthan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Preußen Münster booed when SV Barkas Frankenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Schwabenthan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ringo Obele recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafael Walleitner's late challenge caught a Preußen Münster's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Walleitner helped the player get up and apologised. Ringo Obele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jochen Adler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Klemens Kriebel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ringo Obele struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jochen Adler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Preußen Münster. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind SV Barkas Frankenberg's goalkeeper Jochen Adler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ringo Obele came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Preußen Münster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ringo Obele couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Klemens Kriebel in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jochen Adler saved SV Barkas Frankenberg from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Ringo Obele's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jochen Adler was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. In the 44th minute, Ringo Obele got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ernst Bürsch came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Preußen Münster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernst Bürsch couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ringo Obele to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Jochen Adler managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Preußen Münster's Klemens Kriebel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Ringo Obele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piero Anselm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Preußen Münster's Albert Reincke got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Jochen Adler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ringo Obele in the 65th minute. Ringo Obele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jochen Adler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ringo Obele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ahmed Knop managed to get in a good position for a shot. Preußen Münster's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmed Knop was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jochen Adler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ringo Obele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jochen Adler having to interfere. With a little luck, SV Barkas Frankenberg's Jochen Adler got control of the ball when Ringo Obele tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jochen Adler made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Ringo Obele sent off a good shot on target. Klemens Kriebel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Jochen Adler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Aimo König hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ringo Obele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Magnus Marx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ringo Obele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jochen Adler having to interfere. Jochen Adler made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Klemens Kriebel sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 96 minutes, Ringo Obele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Preußen Münster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ringo Obele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Preußen Münster players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
