The coaching staff of Pernze FSV protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ed Wohnsland had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 9th minute, one of Pernze FSV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pernze FSV. The goalkeeper, Matthäus Bernstein, was totally fooled by Fortuna Dresden FC's Balan Gonzáles, who 11 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 15 minutes into the game, Fortuna Dresden FC's Balan Gonzáles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matthäus Bernstein made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 18 minutes, Tomáš Bacho made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pernze FSV's Matthäus Bernstein tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The nice shot from Tomáš Bacho in the 22ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Matthäus Bernstein had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Fortuna Dresden FC's Tomáš Bacho came free and shot a quick shot against goal 24 minutes in the game, fortunately Matthäus Bernstein had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Tomáš Bacho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faudel Houllier in the 46th minute of play forced Pernze FSV's goalkeeper Matthäus Bernstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Fortuna Dresden FC's Faudel Houllier ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matthäus Bernstein. Matthäus Bernstein yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tomáš Bacho made the kick off in the second half. Matthäus Bernstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faudel Houllier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Balan Gonzáles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matthäus Bernstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faudel Houllier in the 61st minute of the match. In the 91stth minute of the game Tomáš Bacho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pernze FSV's Matthäus Bernstein was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute, Tomáš Bacho made a precise shot to the right of Matthäus Bernstein. Pernze FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. Matthäus Bernstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balan Gonzáles, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Fortuna Dresden FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
