Fedor Kelm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lee Küffner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Lee Küffner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fedor Kelm in the 28th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Imzouren United's Fedor Kelm slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lee Küffner. That made the score 1-1 after 30 minutes of play. Igor Bischoff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julius Baumgarten's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Patrick Jetter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute Claude Gielchen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Bischoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Fedor Kelm made the kick off in the second half. If Patrick Jetter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC 1701's zone, Heinz Irtel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lee Küffner came out of the goal and Heinz Irtel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Despite being the better team, FC 1701 failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
