Vito Röring hit a great ball. Zoran Bauer kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Sven Gallasch notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC DEMA's Ludwig Bargon. Ludwig Bargon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th match minute, Dresden FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henning Bukow to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Sven Gallasch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ludwig Bargon was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. FC DEMA's Matt Kleinhansl got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rudi Wagner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC DEMA's Ludwig Bargon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Gallasch in the 33rd minute of play. A hard shot 36 in the game by Rudi Wagner from a close distance when the talented Gerrit Schnehage managed to make a qualified save. Dresden FSV's players were relieved. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Matt Kleinhansl got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Matt Kleinhansl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matt Kleinhansl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gerrit Schnehage having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matt Kleinhansl in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerrit Schnehage prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matt Kleinhansl might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerrit Schnehage. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matt Kleinhansl ran back to his position shaking his head. Rudi Wagner struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Gerrit Schnehage didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC DEMA. After 65 minutes of play, FC DEMA's Matt Kleinhansl made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerrit Schnehage was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, FC DEMA's Zoran Bauer got a free kick in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudi Wagner in the 69th minute of play forced Dresden FSV's goalkeeper Gerrit Schnehage to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, FC DEMA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zoran Bauer to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Dresden FSV's Bernard Hirz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ludwig Bargon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sven Gallasch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Rudi Wagner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerrit Schnehage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johannes Bettinger kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC DEMA had won after a very even match.
