The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, VfL Teck's goal looked a bit too open when Marvin Brünen came free, but Balduin Hesselbach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rudolf Thiele kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Thomas Zacher made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Joseph Käding sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th match minute, Habaletta Fire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leroy Abd el Farrag to maneuver through the defense. Rudolf Thiele struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Thomas Zacher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VfL Teck. Balduin Hesselbach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urs Groth in the 14th minute of play. Thomas Zacher made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Ned Renkewitz sent off a good shot on target. VfL Teck's Marten Liskowsky quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mathias Michael Albrecht, made in the 22nd minute of the game. Balduin Hesselbach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marvin Brünen in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Rudolf Thiele got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ned Renkewitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Thomas Zacher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. VfL Teck's Hansjörg Christoph got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hansjörg Christoph got free with Thomas Zacher in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Hansjörg Christoph came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the VfL Teck fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hansjörg Christoph couldn't finish the play. Ned Renkewitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Rudolf Thiele managed to get in a good position for a shot. VfL Teck's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudolf Thiele was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Zacher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rudolf Thiele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Thomas Zacher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Rudolf Thiele got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ned Renkewitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Otto Bloch kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Thomas Zacher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ned Renkewitz in the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Marten Liskowsky hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Balduin Hesselbach made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Urs Groth sent off a good shot on target. If Hansjörg Christoph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudolf Thiele recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Ned Renkewitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Habaletta Fire's goalkeeper Thomas Zacher, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ned Renkewitz scored 1-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomas Zacher, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Guntram Bahlau came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the VfL Teck fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guntram Bahlau couldn't finish the play. If Hansjörg Christoph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. VfL Teck fully deserved thier win.
