After 18 minutes of play, FC DEMA's Matt Kleinhansl made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ludwig Bargon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marvin Brünen kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Rudi Wagner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC DEMA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rudi Wagner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thomas Zacher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Kleinhansl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in FC DEMA's zone, Urs Groth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludwig Bargon came out of the goal and Urs Groth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rudi Wagner might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Zacher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rudi Wagner ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 46th minute Rudi Wagner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Zacher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rudi Wagner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Thomas Kitzmann made the kick off in the second half. Thomas Kitzmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When FC DEMA's Matt Kleinhansl in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of FC DEMA booed when Habaletta Fire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marvin Brünen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Rudi Wagner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC DEMA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Lars Böcker kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Thomas Zacher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Friedrich Schmugge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Habaletta Fire's Volker Themel got a free kick in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC DEMA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
