Sven Gallasch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Bischoff having to interfere. After 7 played minutes Imzouren United got a freekick which was hit by Alex Wank. In the 14thth minute of the game Bernard Hirz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Imzouren United's Igor Bischoff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Imzouren United's Igor Bischoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Gallasch in the 16th minute of play. If Fedor Kelm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Imzouren United's Heinz Irtel in 23 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Gerrit Schnehage guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dresden FSV's goalkeeper Gerrit Schnehage, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Bernard Hirz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dresden FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernard Hirz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Bischoff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sven Gallasch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Igor Bischoff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven Gallasch in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Bischoff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Sven Gallasch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vito Röring kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fedor Kelm made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Sven Gallasch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dresden FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven Gallasch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 58 minutes on the clock, Henning Bukow commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 57 minutes into the game, one of Dresden FSV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Heinz Irtel struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Gerrit Schnehage didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Imzouren United. Dresden FSV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Fedor Kelm scored to the left of an out of position Gerrit Schnehage, making the score, 0-2. Heinz Irtel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gerrit Schnehage having to make a save. The supporters of Dresden FSV booed when Imzouren United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position.
