Gunnar Teufel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Prautzsch in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Streichen's goalkeeper Otfried Täublin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Birk Bernstein. Christian Wache hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. A collision led to Joint Paffer FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Manfred Pfau hit a great ball. Gunnar Teufel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Prautzsch in the 20th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Paul Boskamp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gunnar Teufel was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Streichen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Paul Rohmann scored to the left of an out of position Otfried Täublin, making the score, 2-1. Otfried Täublin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birk Bernstein, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. If Fred Ruchay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Ruchay got free with Gunnar Teufel in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gunnar Teufel made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Fred Ruchay sent off a good shot on target. Birk Bernstein blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Otfried Täublin having to make a save. Streichen were furious when Rob Orth was red carded, 79 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Ottmar Posinski was slow to take the kick. During this time Joint Paffer FC's players had a chance to rest. Joint Paffer FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
