The supporters of Imzouren United booed when Joint Paffer FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Meinke didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Joint Paffer FC's zone, Tarkan Bethke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gunnar Teufel came out of the goal and Tarkan Bethke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ebbo Aigner might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Igor Bischoff. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ebbo Aigner ran back to his position shaking his head. Birk Bernstein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Igor Bischoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alex Wank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birk Bernstein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Bischoff having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Imzouren United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurent Greth to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Birk Bernstein got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Imzouren United's goal looked a bit too open when Birk Bernstein came free, but Igor Bischoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Birk Bernstein in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Bischoff saved Imzouren United from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Ottmar Posinski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Bischoff was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frank Fromme during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Frank Fromme hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Igor Bischoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ottmar Posinski in the 33rd minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fedor Kelm to make the kick off. Igor Bischoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Rohmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute of the match, Ottmar Posinski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Igor Bischoff saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 60th minute, Alex Wank got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joint Paffer FC's Gunnar Teufel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedor Kelm in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Joint Paffer FC's Ebbo Aigner dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. If Ottmar Posinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Mark Frings hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 72 minutes, Heinz Irtel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imzouren United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heinz Irtel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Joint Paffer FC's Mark Frings got a free kick in the 75th minute. Gunnar Teufel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heinz Irtel in the 78th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Paul Rohmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mark Frings hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Joint Paffer FC defense, Fedor Kelm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gunnar Teufel. The Joint Paffer FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gunnar Teufel should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Joint Paffer FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ottmar Posinski hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Joint Paffer FC defense, Laurent Greth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gunnar Teufel. The Joint Paffer FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gunnar Teufel should have stopped the shot. Fedor Kelm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
