In the 4th minute, Ludolf Scherer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Felix Gröger. The goal made the score 1-0. If Marco Stamm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Domingo Hemker dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Felix Gröger, 2-0. Quint Kunze kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FSV Mainz 05's Bernhard Bugiel got a free kick in the 19th minute. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Marco Stamm got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Christian Grimmelshausen kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 21st play minutes Marco Stamm shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Felix Gröger and just under the crossbar into goal. After 25 played minutes FSV Mainz 05 got a freekick which was hit by Christian Grimmelshausen. In the 26th minute Ludolf Scherer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Gröger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FSV Mainz 05's Christian Grimmelshausen got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Marco Stamm cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Felix Gröger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karol Linke during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Karol Linke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Stamm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felix Gröger having to make a save. Klaus Hoch made in the 38th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Pana Janusze's Domingo Hemker. Marco Stamm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Felix Gröger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Marco Stamm put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Felix Gröger.

The wind increased when Marco Stamm made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Marco Stamm left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pana Janusze fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. When Marco Stamm came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Pana Janusze fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Stamm couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the game, Gösta Dürre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pana Janusze's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FSV Mainz 05 the free kick. A collision led to Pana Janusze getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Gösta Dürre hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Stamm in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Gröger saved FSV Mainz 05 from getting behind. After having played for 68 minutes, Marco Stamm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pana Janusze's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Stamm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ludolf Scherer hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Stamm in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felix Gröger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marco Stamm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Gröger having to interfere. FSV Mainz 05's Felix Gröger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quint Kunze in the 82nd minute of play. Felix Gröger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Stamm, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. If Marco Stamm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pana Janusze's Marco Stamm in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pana Janusze had played much better football throughout.
