Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ulf Werlich took the kick off in the first half of the match. Raimar Lenke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Werlich, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Rutger Renz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Hofmeister, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maiko Gruber hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Ulf Werlich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Raimar Lenke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Ulf Werlich reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Raimar Lenke. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 28th minute, Peter-Stefan Grefen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hartmut Rebell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rutger Renz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, TuS Erkersreuth's Clemens Thielen got a free kick in the 40th minute. Dieter Therre hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicolas Hofmeister was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, TuS Erkersreuth's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Kühn came free, but Raimar Lenke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Hofmeister blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rutger Renz having to make a save. Spall FSV's Maiko Gruber got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 61 minutes of play, Spall FSV's Ulf Werlich made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raimar Lenke was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Maiko Gruber came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Spall FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maiko Gruber couldn't finish the play. If Maiko Gruber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimar Lenke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Werlich in the 67th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maiko Gruber in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimar Lenke saved TuS Erkersreuth from getting behind. After having played for 71 minutes, Nicolas Hofmeister managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TuS Erkersreuth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Hofmeister was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd match minute, TuS Erkersreuth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominik Winterhalter to maneuver through the defense. Spall FSV's Gordon Kühn got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raimar Lenke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Werlich in the 79th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Spall FSV's Maiko Gruber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimar Lenke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind TuS Erkersreuth's goalkeeper Raimar Lenke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulf Werlich in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimar Lenke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. For all the effort they put into the match, the TuS Erkersreuth players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Spall FSV.
